Server support Engineer

Experience : 2 to 3 years

• Preferred Certified MCSE / Azure Cloud or Higher
• Good Communication skills
• Minimum 2 years Proven hands-on experiences as Server engineer in an enterprise server infrastructure
• Technical knowledge in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Backup Software (Veeam), SFTP, OS & Application Patching
• preferred knowledge in Virtualization (Nutanix), NAS storage and Azure Cloud technologies
• Good Vendor, Peer Management skills
• University Degree

  Engineer Responsibilities / Deliverables

• Monitor Server and Storage performance based on Utilization and Availability using Monitoring tool
• Act upon pre-configured threshold breach with respect to Utilization and Availability of server components and remediate
• Ensure 100% Server uptime for end users
• Execute periodic Maintained activity to minimize Server downtime
• Execute planned changes to server infrastructure to enhance server performance / security posture through Change Management process
• Maintain Server Infra Inventory and configuration as per standards
• Provide Level-1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Server Device Asset Management (Asset Inventory, Support Contract, Vendor Escalation Matrix)
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Configure and install various Server devices and services (e.g., Windows OS, IIS, SQL Database, Backup Software, NAS Storage, Nutanix, etc)  
• Perform server maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and Preform Configuration backups of Critical applications devices
• Execute server DR testing and per defined DR Policy
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the server infrastructure
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutions
