Network Engineer – L2 & L3

Job Summary: 

  • The Network engineer support Level 2/3 position is a key contributor in the success of managing our client’s networks. This is achieved by quickly resolving incidents that our clients open tickets for and by constantly.  
  • monitoring the alerts generated by our tools to resolve incidents before our clients are aware.  
  • Fluent English communication 
  • Flexibility in shift support 
  • Prior experience working in INTL project 
  • Preference for Immediate Joiner

MUST HAVE SKILLS 

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities, multi-tasking and/or projects simultaneously.  
  • Hands on experience on Switching configuration L2 level 
  • Hands on experience on Routing configuration L2 level 
  • Hands on WAP & WLC devices to triage and resolve 
  • Experience to handle Internet Gateway/Direct Connect set up 
  • VPN set up and troubleshooting 
  • Handle ISP Links and Trunk configuration on (SDWAN/MPLS) 
  • Troubleshooting Firewall configuration and Add/Modify security rules 

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS 

  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated. 
  • Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each ticket. 
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate through e-mail.  
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting networking configurations and proactive resolution. 

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE 

  • CISCO 
  • FORITGATE  
  • CHECKPOINT  
  • PALO ALTO  
  • willingness to learn any new products 

Tools in scope:  Willingness to learn tools during Transition phase  

  • N-able – Patching 
  • Network Performance Monitoring – N-Central RMM tool 
  • ITSM ticketing system – Halo PSA 
  • Communication – Zoom Contact support 

Expected Outcomes:  

  • Success in the Network Support Level 2+ position will be based on your ability to meet or exceed our client’s expectations and by exceeding the SLA (Service Tier Agreements) put in place for the various agreements 
  • Network Engineers will be measured on the adherence of the client agreements and on the quantity of closed tickets, speed of ticket closure and first-time ticket resolution. 

Educational Recommendations:  

  • CCNA Certification is preferred. 
  • Basic degree holder from recognized institution. 
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred.  
  • Experience in monitoring, triaging and reporting end client networks is preferred. 
  • Good communication skills for handling global customers
